How to read a spec
The two numbers that decide everything
| Wear layer | The clear top layer that takes the scratches. Measured in mils (thousandths of an inch), not millimetres. 20 mil handles a family home; 22 mil is what we would put in a rental or a hallway. Anything under 12 mil belongs in a bedroom nobody walks through. |

| Overall thickness | The whole plank, in millimetres. It changes how solid the floor feels underfoot and how well it bridges a slab that is not perfectly flat — it does not change how durable the surface is. That is the wear layer's job. |
| SPC core | Stone-plastic composite. Dense, rigid, and dimensionally stable in heat — which is the reason it suits a Florida room with afternoon sun on the slider far better than a flexible WPC core. |
| IXPE backing | A closed-cell acoustic pad bonded to the plank at the factory. It quiets the floor and forgives minor slab variation. Because it is already attached, you do not buy or roll a separate underlayment. |
Certifications
Ask us for the certificate
Certification varies by mill, so rather than print a badge here we would rather send you the current certificate for the exact floor you are buying. Ask for it before you order — especially if you are specifying for a school, a healthcare fit-out or a LEED project, where the submittal has to name the product and the certificate number.
Warranty
What the warranty covers
Every collection carries a 30-year residential and 10-year light-commercial warranty against manufacturing defects — delamination, print-layer failure and locking-system failure.
It does not cover damage from installation error, from a subfloor that was not prepared, from standing water left against a wall, or from ordinary wear on a floor that has been down for two decades.
