Palm Beach County, Florida
Luxury vinyl plank flooring in West Palm Beach
Palm Beach County is the last stop north for our distribution partner's Miami warehouse, about 70 miles up the turnpike, and the market with the widest spread of buildings we sell into: island condos, 1950s ranch houses on terrazzo, and 55-plus communities out west.
What West Palm Beach homes usually need
Three kinds of jobs come from here. Condo and co-op boards on the island and downtown want acoustic documentation before they approve a hard floor. The mid-century neighborhoods in West Palm, Lake Worth Beach and Boca Raton sit on slabs with terrazzo, which is flat, hard and about the best surface a floating plank can go over. And the communities west of the turnpike, from Wellington down to Boca, turn over whole houses at once, often for a buyer who is not there yet.
Terrazzo needs almost nothing: clean it, check flatness with a straightedge, and float the plank. The one thing it will not forgive is a missing expansion gap on a west-facing room in August; the heat guide covers acclimation and gaps.
Nearly every floor we stock is the extra-long XL 9"x60" format. Not sure where to buy? Read the Florida waterproof LVP buyer’s guide.
How delivery to West Palm Beach works
Palm Beach County orders ship from the Miami partner warehouse (APRES, GRAND LUX SOFT (GD), IRIS, IRIS 8, WHISPER WOODS: 34 floors), roughly an hour and a half by truck. Gated communities: the carrier needs the gate code or a name at the gatehouse, and a few communities restrict truck hours, so tell us when you request the quote. Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Jupiter get the same flat $300 per pallet.
Delivery is a flat $300 per pallet of 42 boxes, 500 sq ft minimum order: 1 to 2 business days to pick and ship after payment clears, then 4 to 8 business days in transit, curbside on a pallet with a liftgate. The delivery checklist covers the day itself.
Floors we would put down in West Palm Beach
| Collection | Thickness / wear layer | Per sq ft | Ships from | Why it fits West Palm Beach |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IRIS 8 (5 colors) | 8mm / 22mil | $2.49 | Miami | 8 mm, 22 mil and held in Miami: the spec for a condo with a sound requirement or a house that will be rented |
| GRAND LUX SOFT (GD) (6 colors) | 5mm / 20mil | $1.59 | Miami | At $1.59 it is our entry-level price, and terrazzo is flat enough that a 5 mm core loses nothing |
| APRES (8 colors) | 7mm / 22mil | $2.19 | Miami | 22 mil at a mid price, with 8 colors, for a whole-house job that needs one color in every room |
Every floor we stock is a waterproof SPC rigid core, 5 to 8 mm, 20 or 22 mil, with an IXPE pad attached. Prices are per square foot as published on each floor page; the calculator turns your square footage into boxes.
Questions we get from West Palm Beach
- Can LVP go straight over terrazzo?
- Yes, and it is one of the best subfloors for it: flat, hard and dry. Clean it, check it with a 10 foot straightedge, leave the expansion gap and float the plank. No underlayment beyond the attached pad.
- Do you deliver to Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Jupiter?
- Yes, every Palm Beach County address from Boca Raton to Jupiter and west to Wellington and Royal Palm Beach, from the Miami partner warehouse at the same flat $300 per pallet.
- How does a condo delivery work on the island?
- The carrier books a window with the building, the pallet comes off at the dock or the street as the building allows, and someone you arrange moves boxes up. Tell us the building's requirements when you ask for the quote.
