Lee County, Florida
Luxury vinyl plank flooring in Fort Myers
Lee County has been rebuilding since Hurricane Ian in 2022, and a lot of what we ship to Fort Myers replaces a floor that swelled, lifted or was cut out at the flood line.
What Fort Myers homes usually need
The typical Fort Myers job is a slab-on-grade house, single storey, that had laminate or engineered wood before the storm and will not have it again. Homeowners here have learned what a waterproof floor is for: not the spilled bucket, but the day the water comes in and goes back out. A rigid stone core does not swell, and after the water is gone it can be pulled, dried underneath and relaid if the slab needs to breathe.
The second job type is the gated community in south Lee, where an association rule and a delivery gate both apply. The third is the investor turning a flood-repaired house for rent, who wants an entry-level price that still carries a 20 mil wear layer. The rental guide prices that.
Nearly every floor we stock is the extra-long XL 9"x60" format. Not sure where to buy? Read the Florida waterproof LVP buyer’s guide.
How delivery to Fort Myers works
Fort Myers is roughly equidistant from two of our distribution partners' warehouses, so the floor decides the route: APRES, GRAND LUX SOFT (GD), IRIS, IRIS 8, WHISPER WOODS ship from Miami across the Alley, and EIR 6.5mm, SSR 6.5mm, Ultra Clean SPC, XD-5.5mm come down I-75 from Orlando. Both are about three hours by truck. Tell us if the street is still under construction or the driveway is not usable; a liftgate pallet needs a firm, level spot.
Delivery is a flat $300 per pallet of 42 boxes, 500 sq ft minimum order: 1 to 2 business days to pick and ship after payment clears, then 4 to 8 business days in transit, curbside on a pallet with a liftgate. The delivery checklist covers the day itself.

Questions we get from Fort Myers
- If the house floods again, is the floor a loss?
- Not usually. A rigid SPC plank does not absorb water. Once the water is out, a floating floor can be unlocked, lifted, the slab dried and treated, and the same planks relaid. Glue-down and anything wood-based cannot do that.
- Our subdivision is still being rebuilt and the street is rough. Can a freight truck get in?
- Tell us when you request the quote. The carrier can often stage the pallet at the nearest firm surface, and for a difficult address we will say so before you pay rather than after the truck arrives.
- Do you deliver to Lehigh Acres, Estero and Sanibel?
- Yes, Lehigh Acres, Estero, Sanibel and Captiva all get the same flat $300 per pallet. For Sanibel and Captiva, mention the causeway so the carrier plans the route.
